Live streaming from the European Parliament: signing of the interinstitutional agreement on the financial perspective

 

On 17 May 2006 the President in office of the European Council, Federal Chancellor Wolfgang Schüssel, will take part in the ceremonial signing of the interinstitutional agreement on the financial perspective 2007-2013. Before the ceremonial signing Finance Minister Karl Heinz Grasser will take part in the plenary debate on the financial perspective 2007-2013 in the European Parliament. Begins: 9.00

State Secretary Hans Winkler will represent the Council in the afternoon debate on the report on human rights in 2005. This will be followed by a plenary debate on the four external instruments for financial relations and question time. Begins: 15.00

Hans Winkler will also take part in the joint debate on the South East Europe Energy Community Treaty. Begins: 22.00

The following programme points will be broadcast live by the European Parliament streaming service:

  • 9:00 - 11:30: debate on the interinstitutional agreement on the financial perspective, with opening and concluding statement by Finance Minister Karl Heinz Grasser
  • followed by: ceremonial signing of the interinstitutional agreement on the financial perspective 2007-2013, with Federal Chancellor Wolfgang Schüssel
  • from 15:00: debate on the report on human rights in the world in 2005 and EU policy, with State Secretary Hans Winkler
