The EU-Russia summit during the Austrian Presidency of the Council of the EU will take place on 25 May 2006 from 13.00 local time. Russia is hosting the summit in Sochi on the Black Sea.
The European Union will be represented by Federal Chancellor Wolfgang Schüssel, President in office of the European Council, and José Manuel Barroso, the President of the European Commission. The Russian Federation will be represented by President Vladimir Putin.
For the press, a group photo and press conference are scheduled at the end of the summit.
Participation in these programme items is reserved to accredited media representatives.
